Welcome to Curious Quill, an original content resource for fantasy roleplaying.
Announcing a change in direction: supporting Dragonbane. I am Moving On from 5e as my primary focus. Most of what is here is designed to be used in any system, but a lot has focused on 5e. For a time at least, I will be adapting my work to Dragonbane. I hope you join me in my journey, and if you play 5e yourself, remember that there is a plethora of info already here, and new stuff will be easily adaptable. So don’t go anywhere.
Heroic Ability: Shadowdancing
Some elven battledancers embrace the darkness that their patrons the moon and stars rule from. They can attack secretly and swiftly from the shadows. This battledancer practice is called Shadowdancing.
Heroic Ability: Way of the Sash
Elves are agile and graceful people who love music and dance. Their flowing movements are often enhanced using lengths of cloth including ribbons and scarves or cloaks that mimic the wind and wave they are connected to. Some elves learn to use these items of clothing in combat, becoming able to defend themselves, and even make attacks, without any weapon.
Profession: Battledancer
Elven warriors are known for being agile and quick, appearing to almost dance when they fight. But there are some elves who incorporate dance directly into their fighting style. Practitioners of this tradition are called battledancers.
Heroic Ability: Earthroot
Dwarves who learn and master the Earthroot form gain the ability to focus their will and resolve into fixing themselves in place to make them immovable.
Heroic Ability: Hearthzeal
A dwarven Runeforger can learn to channel their comradeship with others to bolster their own health.
Profession: Runeforger
Dwarven Runeforgers master their mind and body through the pursuit of runic traditions that focus their will.
Profession: Messenger
Messengers may fill many different roles including couriers, criers, informants, hawkers, and even have been seen as heralds for nobility.
Urchins: Smalfolk in Taluma
Urchins are Smalfolk in the land of Taluma, on the world Eost. Along with humans, dwarves, elves and wolfkin that comprise the primary ‘civilized’ people of the land. Read on for their playable kin information for Dragonbane.
